“Sir, what you had there was what we refer to as a Focused, Non-Terminal, Repeating Phantasm, or a Class 5 Full-Roaming Vapor.”
Ghostbusters is a 1984 American supernatural comedy film directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. The film follows a group of eccentric parapsychologists who establish a ghost-catching business in New York City, only to find themselves confronting increasingly dangerous supernatural forces.
Slimer is one of the most recognizable ghosts from Ghostbusters. Haunting the Sedgewick Hotel with his seemingly endless appetite, he raids room-service carts, devours mountains of food, slips through walls, and leaves Peter Venkman drenched in ectoplasm. Classified by Ray Stantz as a “Focused, Non-Terminal, Repeating Phantasm” and a Class 5 Full-Roaming Vapor, Slimer quickly becomes one of the Ghostbusters’ earliest and most memorable supernatural encounters.
