The terror of clay unleashed. The will to stop it.
A powerful image by Jim Lee, reimagined as a sculpture.
Dreaming once again of success as an actor, Basil Karlo heads to Los Angeles under a new identity. From one of the stories in "Batman – One Bad Day," which explores his madness and inner turmoil, "Batman VS Clayface" joins the Ultimate Premium Masterline.
Clayface surges forward with his massive body of living mud, while Batman struggles against him with all his strength. This statue reimagines the variant cover illustrated by DC Comics legend Jim Lee as a full three-dimensional scene. The head-on clash between hero and villain is captured in full at 1/4 scale, reaching over 80 cm tall.
Clayface is sculpted with the flowing movement of mud in mind. The linework and stylized forms of the original artwork are translated into three dimensions, while the paintwork adds a realistic sense of wetness to his surface. Countless faces emerging across his body, along with the LED glow from his eyes and mouth, further heighten his unsettling presence. Batman is rendered with equal attention to detail, from his desperate expression and the fabric-like texture of his costume to the Batarang embedded in the muddy themed base, each element carefully finished to convey its distinct material quality.
Additional display options are included for both characters. Batman comes with a swappable shouting head and a Head Stand, while Clayface includes swappable left hands transformed into a spike and hammer. The DX Version expands the display possibilities with these additional parts, allowing you to customize the scene to your preference.
As a bonus part, a swappable Batman head equipped with a rebreather is also included. This familiar gadget offers another display option.
Born from a powerful piece of cover art, "Batman VS Clayface" brings a new page of battle to your DC Comics collection.
